3:16 PM | Friday, September 26, 2008 | so we were talking about the joy in reading?
Heh ok I think I will blog now. It's because Kai blogged then I felt guilty about not blogging (don't know why I just do) damn it's irritating to keep capitalizing my I's...anyway. L.arts on wedneday was damnnnn freaky, I started writing about Tarzan under "the joy of reading". Either the teachers will see it as this awesome breakthrough, or I'll fail miserably. So that's not good. Second paper was totally blah.
Went to study at national library with Kai ystd! We settled ourselves into the children's section (heh:D) at these minute tables and started doing bio, with kai rearranging herself every five minutes or so because the children's tables were hecklishly unconfortable (that is not a word, btw). But then later she went back to her original position which I was in the whole time so what can I say! I am awesome. Then we went to bugis for lunch and on the way stopped for the customary oooh at the hamsters/rabbits which are v v v v cute! And so everyone who wants to get me birthday presents (is obliged to, feels like, wants to please me by doing so, loves me), please chip in to the...rabbit fund. Said rabbit looks something like a fluff ball, 'cept cuter. Like the more people willing to contribute the less you have to pay! :)
Then started reading a book about bras. Was quite interesting heh :D Kai was very interested, I was less so. And sneakers and stuff where I concluded that good ol' converse is still the best, really. On the topic of shoes, boots for shanghaiiiii :D:D
Oh then we got kai contacts which is one of the essential things on the bimb list, so ya that was good. We spent like an hour trying to teach kai how to put on her lenses which is freakinggggg nooblolz but ah well. And it was free, due to my, ahem, influentialness (not a word btw). Binged on REFINED SUGAR!! later :D People shouldn't diet.
Uh huh, so we were waiting for the MRT yesterday to go home when we started discussing the merits of being tall + outwardly beautiful. On tall first, actually it does make sense that tall people get it better. Because like you get fresher air, can walk faster, can avoid being patted on your head, can wear cool things. And like the only drawback is you can't wear heels because you'll hit your head on the ceiling of the bus, but ehhh...minor drawback. Plus I guess if you don't wear heels you'll be...safer. In the sense that if you're like kai and wobble like crap then it's better for your general health to be short :D
Aha! On to the outwardly beautiful thing. It's like you always hear people saying, being beautiful is no use at all! You must be beautiful inside...blahblah...yada. Ok so we're all familiar with that. Then we find out it is totally untrue because hell if you were as ugly as sin no one would want to work with you/like you/and you'd have less friends, probably. This is not a discrimination against ugly people because I think I myself am butt ugly sometimes. Ok aside from that it's like if you look good, it adds self-confidence, which in turns make people like you, which is good. But of course there's always a drawback, as reflected in Back Spin..."She looked like an attractive young woman who was afraid of not being taken seriously because she was an attractive young woman." People might not take you seriously, which is not good. And not wanting to look good is just oxymoronish, they just don't go together. So yes stop spouting 外在美不重要 crap.
BUT I'm not saying that inward beauty isn't important. It's important too, but from the point of first impressions, outward beauty plays a more important role. If you passed by a pretty girl on the street you'd be tempted to go say hi (only applies to hormonal teenage guys) even if she turned out to be a total bitch. But if she was nothing special to look at you probabyl wouldn't even think about saying hi in the first place so ya. Point proven.
I think everyone's gonna hate us after this because we're such bimbos yada but actually we're not so :)
